Commentary - Influence - Part Three

Had to take a week off from writing to work on something else. But it's here so don't fret. Continuing with the cerebral theme of the chapter titles, "Vision" revisits those weird dreams that Trevor had a while back. One asks the question, how can he dream of the future? Well, he's either evolving into a telepath, a victim of dream manipulator, or sometimes a dream is just a dream. I leave it to the reader to decide.

And if you haven't noticed yet, Trevor appears to have adopted a fashion sense reminiscent of Future Trevor. In a sort of Desmond Hume course-correcting time travel thingie, some things change while some still happen. Here, Trevor still dons the black but in a different context sort of like how the specials get hunted by the government no matter what, Five Years Gone future or not.

In the end, this was a tough one because I had to set up multiple plots for the future and negotiating them all without stepping on toes was a challenge. But really, the chapter became a series of character moments more than anything. While laying down the plot, I got to play around some more with people's Survival bios. So it seems that everyone has gone back to their normal lives, remind you of anything?, and Undaunted is on the back burner until Trevor convinces Seal otherwise.

But the real secret is that I wanted to write a story revolving around Fantastic Four, Shining Knight, and Watchmen quotes. But after reading back, I got the jist that Trevor was never really in danger, he was always in control or ready at a moment's notice. I decided to got the opposite direction and the end result is a cliffhanger! That so evil in hindsight. But if you want to learn more about this Exploding Man, stay tuned...
